Walk with His Spirit

Wednesday, January 23, 2013 Category : 0

Galatians 5:16-17
So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever[s] you want.

Sometimes, what we want is contrary to what God's want for us. So if we really want to do what is pleasing to our God, Let us walk with his Spirit.

My First and last Haircut for this Year

I just had my hair cut after a long time  last December, and yesterday, I went to my favorite salon to have another haircut again. Sigh. They say   that when a woman want to have a new hair cut for no reason, she is either depress or stress.

God is the God of Comfort

Thursday, January 17, 2013 Category : 0

A.      When was the last time you’ve hurt by someone/something? What did you do?

You can not control how people treat with you. Weather you did everything just to please them, the truth is, everything wont be enough. Weather you show them kindness, they will still hurt you, unintentionally and intentionally.
Your friends, spiritual family, family members, and classmates will offend you hundreds time. What is the right thing to do? Where did you find your comfort?

B.      Read: 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

It is not a good idea that after you have been hurt by someone/something, you will also try to hurt  them back. Find your comfort to God. And don’t get be weary of doing what is good (Galatians 6:9)

I survived a week of fasting!!

I am really amazed on how God sustained me this week as I went without eating. It was a great experience of meeting God, hearing His voice and to feel his overflowing presence.

For the whole week, I just took water and any form of liquid as my meal. Instead of eating every meal time, I am just praying.  God proved that Man doesn’t live in bread alone ( Matthew 4:4)

It was not easy. I was tempted a lot of times to break my fasting.  But I hold on what was written in Matthew 7:13-14 Jesus said never said it would be easy, but He said it would be worth it! My hunger is nothing compared to fullness of God’s presence. It made me weak physically but I am spiritually strong. And if you’re thinking I did it for nothing, you’re wrong. I committed a week of praying and fasting to seek God more and to upreach my prayer list. Its my way of talking to God every minute to ask His Favor, to understand Him, to know His plan, and to feel his grace and love.

Seeking Him will not end as I ended my fasting today. I will seek Him more and more. Deeper and deeper.
